Governor-elect Bob McDonnell visits with Michael Newsome, president-elect of the Home Builders Association of Virginia at a TBA Board meeting.
In a break with tradition, Tidewater Builders Association offered an endorsement in this week’s governor’s race — for the Republican candidate Bob McDonnell. who won the election handily.
The industry has worked with McDonnell during his years as a state delegate from Virginia Beach in the General Assembly and more recently as Attorney General. The industry looks forward to working with him to create jobs, grow the economy and work on our transportation challenges.
TBA’s Political Action Committee has been busy the past few months interviewing candidates and offering endorsements that PAC felt would best further the interests of the home building industry. With the exception of one district, the TBA PAC endorsed all winning candidates.
