The bayfront Homearama home, Exotic Seaside Retreat, constructed by Seaside Homes and Simple Elegance by DeBord Custom Homes, took Favorite Home Gold Awards in the Tidewater Builders Association’s Fall Homearama in Norfolk’s East Beach community. The awards were in the over 3,200 square –foot and under 3,200 square foot categories respectively.

The 3,608 square-foot coastal beach style Exotic Seaside Retreat also won the People’s Choice Silver Award for Favorite Landscape. The home featured 120 feet of unobstructed bay living, a spacious family room with wraparound bay views and a raised hearth, three covered porches and a two-story cupola.

The 2,244 square-foot Simple Elegance also won the Favorite Interior Gold Award. The home featured custom wood trim throughout, including a coffered family room ceiling and stained wood ceilings on the front porch, and a fireplace with El Dorado stone and granite surround.

Fall Homearama featured 10 showcase homes in the new urbanist community. Nine of the homes were sold before the completion of the show.

The People’s Choice awards were determined by Homearama visitors who toured the 10 fully furnished and decorated showcase homes between Oct. 18-26, Nine of the homes were sold before the end of the event.
