Tidewater Builders Assocation Wins Awards For Innovative Programs

Tidewater Builders Association's membership recognition program, The Stanley Awards for industry excellence, received a national award for best member recognition program from the National Associaton of Home Builders. The Tidewater Builders Association received three Awards of Excellence from the Executive Officers Council (EOC) of the National Association of Home Builders for Best Political Action Program Administered; Best Member Recognition Program/Event and Best HBA Special Interest Web Site.

TBA won for Best Political Action Program for its Get Out the Vote initiative aimed at getting employees of member firms registered and motivated to vote. It also provides an e-mail notification to members for input when a local issue is coming forward for a vote.

It won Best MemberRecognition Program for its annual Stanley Awards. Name for TBA’s first president, Stanley Waranch, it recognizes new home builders, associate members and new home communities for quality products.

It won Best Special Interest Website for its online video site, www.newhome.tv. The site attracts both local and worldwide visitors to look at new homes and new home communities and to view builder profiles.

The awards were presented during the National Association of Home Builders’ 2007 EOC Seminar held at Long Beach, California.

The council's membership consists of the staff executives who manage the more than 800 state and local home builders associations that comprise the National Association of Home Builders.

"Our members and staff work hard to provide programs and services that are relevant to the membership and meet the constantly changing needs of the industry," said TBA President John Ainslie. "To receive an Association Excellence Award and to be recognized by one’s peers across the nation is truly the ultimate compliment."
