2007 Homearama People's Choice Award Winners Announced
The Daniel Penn : Homearama 2007
House 1, The Daniel Penn, built by R.L. Blount Custom Homes took hop top honors for the 2007 Homearama People's Choice Awards.

The Daniel Penn, built by R.L. Blount Custom Homes Inc., won top honors for both the People’s Choice Favorite Home award and the Favorite Interior Design award at Tidewater Builders Association’s 2007 Homearama at Edinburgh Meadows in Chesapeake. The Daniel Penn was decorated by Seraphim Interiors with furnishings by Value City Furniture, Furniture Classics Limited and Great Bridge Furniture.

The People’s Choice winners were determined by votes from the attendees of the annual home showcase event. More than 114,100 visitors had the opportunity to view 17 newly constructed and decorated homes at Edinburgh Meadows, which is a Precon Development Corp. Inc. development.

Joey Corp. received the second-place Favorite Home award for The Crown Jewel. The third place Favorite Home award went to The EarthCraft House, built by Miller Custom Homes.

The EarthCraft House was also awarded second place honors for Favorite Interior Design, which was by Cathy Tellefsen of Complete Interiors with furnishings by Esprit Décor. The Crown Jewel also won third place for Favorite Interior Design, which was by Michael J. Crow of Generations Brands with furnishings by Uttermost and Esprit Décor. Additionally, The Crown Jewel also won first place for Favorite Landscaping, which was by Robert Nye of Renaissance Outdoor Contracting Inc.

Miller Custom Homes won second place for Favorite Landscaping for The EarthCraft House, which was by Tom Underhill of Coastal Landscapes. The Castle of Dreams by WATAB Construction Corp. won third place for Favorite Landscaping, which was by Angelo Vargas of Vargas Landscape Contracting.

Ricardo Mendoza of Norfolk and Brian Shaffer of Portsmouth were randomly chosen to receive savings bonds offered as prizes from the People’s Choice voting during Homearama.
