Criteria / Application
Each student can submit one entry only to: 2009 Young Designers' Scholarship Competition, Tidewater Builders Association,
2117 Smith Ave., Chesapeake, VA 23320. The deadline is 5 p.m., Monday, May 4, 2009. No entries will be accepted after this deadline.
Scholarship criteria is as follows:
- You must be a local high school senior residing in the TBA service area of: Chesapeake, Eastern Shore of Virginia, Franklin, Isle of Wight, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Smithfield, Suffolk, or Virginia Beach.
- You must be a U.S. citizen
- You must attend and pursue an accredited four-year undergraduate degree program as a full-time student during your four-year period of continual, uninterrupted studies - (not including summer semesters)
- You must demonstrate financial need
- You must be in good standing academically
A scholarship committee will review applications and recipients notified by early May.
