What is the Mid-Atlantic Home & Flower Show?
The Mid-Atlantic Home & Garden Show and the Virginia Flower & Garden Show have combined forces for the second year in a row for this exciting show with the theme Sensuous Gardens.

The event is expected to draw over 25,000 guests and feature nearly 500 exhibits of products and services to improve indoor and outdoor living environments, plus lavish display gardens. Celebrity headliners and horticultural experts will cover a range of topics pertaining to the home and garden.

When is the show open?
The event is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday, Feb. 15, and Saturday, Feb. 16; and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 17.

How much does it cost?
Admission is $10 for adults and free for children 12 and under. Two-day passes are $17 each and three-day passes are $23. Active-duty military and senior citizens get a $1 discount. A $1 discount coupon is also available at www.tbaonline.org. Parking is free.

What's happening?
Celebrity home decorators and authors Matt & Shari from the popular HGTV show "Room by Room" will demonstrate their trademark approach of "real decorating for real people." With more than 50 years combined experience in the home décor field, Matt Fox and Shari Hiller are experts at interior design that reflects homeowners' personal tastes, buying quality that lasts, and blending great ideas with experienced know-how for do-it-yourself projects. Their syndicated column, Matt & Shari at Home, appears in over 120 newspapers across the country and they've authored two best-selling books, Real Decorating for Real People and Great Weekend Projects. Stock up on home decorating ideas when Matt & Shari take to the stage at 1 and 5 p.m., Friday and Saturday, Feb. 15 and 16; and at noon and 3 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 17.

Certified Master Bath and Kitchen Designer Jim Krengel will educate audiences on the latest kitchen design trends. A 40-year veteran and leader in the kitchen and bath industry, Krengel is nationally recognized as a foremost authority on kitchen and bath design. He has served as a consultant for Proctor and Gamble and Dow Corning manufacturing firms and was also the Design Director of the Maytag Kitchen Idea Center for 13 years. Krengel has authored two books; Kitchens: Lifestyle & Design and Bathrooms. He has also created two design CD's; Designer Bathrooms by Professional Designers and The Best of Kitchens by Professional Designers. Krengel will present "What's Hot & What's Not in Kitchen Design," "Kitchen Creativity in Action" and "Appliances: Everything You Ever Wanted to Know" at the show. Paul Tukey, the American Horticultural Society's 2006 Horticultural Communicator of the Year will be on hand dispensing expert organic gardening advice. Known as one of the most sought-after gardening and landscape experts in the nation, Tukey is founding editor and publisher of People, Places & Plants magazine and author of The Organic Lawn Care Manual. Tukey has made numerous radio and television appearances, including Martha Stewart Living and Good Morning America and has been a featured expert in articles appearing in, among others, The New York Times and The Washington Post newspapers. An advocate for organic lawn care, Tukey's DVD Making the Organic Lawn Care Transition received the Garden Writers of America Award for Best Electronic Media of 2006.

Bring the kids and buckle up for the ride of your life with the fur flying family fun of the Extreme Canine Stunt Dog Show. Watch these celebrity dogs as they take to the stage and perform amazing feats including frisbee tricks, big air stunts, high-jump bar challenges, comedy antics and a three-sport relay race. These world-class stunt dogs have thrilled audiences on the Tonight Show, Animal Planet's Pet Star, ESPN, Fox Sports' You Gotta See This! and ABC's Monday Night Football. Join in for some fast, furious, furry fun for the entire family at noon, 3:30 and 6 p.m., Friday and Saturday, Feb. 15 and 16; and at 11:30 a.m., 2 and 4 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 17.

An array of horticulture experts will conduct interesting and informative seminars throughout the show. Get information how to grow your best garden from many of the foremost gardening and horticulture authorities in the area. These experienced green thumbs will be presenting demonstrations at nearly every hour, covering a broad spectrum of topics including "Feng Shui Principles for Your Garden," "From Grower to Garden Center" and "Organic Lawn Care."
