Join Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters at a special preview event to benefit the new CHKD Health Center at Oyster Point.

The Hampton Roads Home and Garden Show preview party is a combination of networking, socializing and new product shopping. It gives you a first look at one of the areas largest home and garden shows, with special programs aimed right at your business.

Enjoy a wine and beer tasting to the sounds of light jazz and delicious fare catered by Fresh Events, by Farm Fresh. The event is from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, April 14 at the Hampton Roads Convention Center. n

Tickets can be purchased for $25 from The Peninsula Housing and Builders Association, The CHKD Health Center at Oyster Point, or by calling CHKD at 757-668-7070. Tickets include admission to the Home and Garden Show, which will be open to the public from 6 to 9 p.m.

In May of 2004, Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters opened its new, permanent home on the Peninsula. The CHKD Health Center at Oyster Point offers Peninsula families convenient access to primary care; rehabilitative therapies, diagnostic and laboratory services as well as evaluation, treatment and follow-up care in more than a dozen pediatric specialties like surgery, cardiology, gastroenterology and asthma. Construction is currently underway at the site for CHKD's first outpatient ambulatory surgery center, which is expected to serve more than 1,000 families in its first year.
