2006 Homearama People’s Choice Award Winners Announced

The Valentine House: House with Heart, built by B. Valentine Construction Inc., won top honors for both the People’s Choice Favorite Home award and the Favorite Interior Design award at Tidewater Builders Association’s 2006 Homearama at The Estates of Pitchkettle Farms in Suffolk. The Valentine House was decorated by Rich Kahler, Tamyra Spear and Angie Lowry of Interiors by Decorating Den with furnishings by Thomasville.

The People’s Choice winners were determined by votes from the attendees of the annual home showcase event. More than 81,000 visitors had the opportunity to view 15 newly constructed and decorated homes at The Estates of Pitchkettle Farms, which is an Ainslie-Widener Development.

Wendell Homes L.L.C. received the second-place Favorite Home award for The Suffolk House. The third place Favorite Home award went to The Craftsman, built by Richmarc Building Corp.

The Craftsman was also awarded second place honors for Favorite Interior Design, which was by Leslie Scarlett of Scarlett Interiors with furnishings by Interior Visions.

The Suffolk House also won third place for Favorite Interior Design, which was by Kim Campbell of Showcase Solutions and Jenny Wendell of Wendell Homes L.L.C. with furnishings by Willis Furniture Co. Additionally, The Suffolk House also won first place for Favorite Landscaping, which was by Reynolds Landscaping.

Richmarc Building Corp. won second place for Favorite Landscaping for The Craftsman, which was by Conceptual Outdoor Design. The Valentine House won third place for Favorite Landscaping, which was by Vargas Landscape Construction.
