Mid-Atlantic Home, Remodeling & Interior Design Show feeds your head with creative and innovative ideas to revamp living areas

Arm yourself with the just the right ideas and all the practical know-how to create your own home's extreme makeover at the Mid-Atlantic Home, Remodeling & Interior Design Show presented by Energy Saving Exteriors, November 9-11 at the Virginia Beach Convention Center.

Produced by Tidewater Builders Association, the show will features over 150 exhibits of products and services and a celebrity line-up of knowledgeable presenters to assist you with improving all areas of your living environments.

From outfitting your kitchen with the latest in custom cabinetry and cooking tools to bringing the outdoors in with new windows, a sunroom or outdoor living amenities, this show has the solutions for all your remodeling and re-designing needs.

Well-known gardening expert and author Don Engebretson, also known as The Renegade Gardener is headlining this event, sharing his vast knowledge of gardening and landscaping with show audiences. Showgoers will benefit from The Renegade Gardener's experience as he presents The Top 10 Gardening Blunders and How to Avoid Them at 1, 3:30 and 6 p.m., Friday, Nov. 9; 1, 4 and 7 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 10 and 1:30 and 4:30 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 11.

Home improvement expert and DIY Network host Paul Ryan will share kitchen renovation tips and techniques that can be easily applied to all aspects of home improvement with Kitchen Renovation

How-To's at 2:30 and 5:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 10 and noon and 3 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 11.

Visitors to the show will also learn Simple Feng Shui Practices for a Healthy and Nurturing Home from the Feng Shui Diva herself, Robyn Bentley. Bentley will instruct visitors on how to incorporate these techniques to open the doors to balance, harmony and prosperity in their homes at 2:30 and 5 p.m., Friday, November 9.

A variety of children’s activities are also planned throughout the event, including appearances by the Nickelodeon Channel’s most favorite under water personality, SpongeBob SquarePants from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday afternoon.

A live "Chat Room" will be set up at the show on Saturday afternoon allowing visitors to meet with experts to discuss home-related topics including staging your home for sale, building green, and mortgage information.

Plus, a landscaped water feature garden created by Virginia Waterscaping and Renaissance Outdoor Contracting Inc. with a chance to win a bubbling rock water feature giveaway and a home interior feature area sponsored by Lowe's Home Centers and offering an appliance giveaway.

The show is open to the public from noon-9 p.m., Friday, Nov. 9 and Saturday, Nov. 10 and from noon-6 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 11.

Admission is $8 for adults and free for children 12 and under. Active-duty military and senior citizens get a $1 discount. Cox Communications customers can get $2 off admission for two people on Cox Friday, Nov. 9 when they present their Cox Communications bill. Parking is free.
