TBA wins national award for builder e-briefing

Tidewater Builders Association recently received an Award of Excellence for its Monday Morning Briefings from the Executive Officers Council of the National Association of Home Builders. It took top honors in the Communication-Update Publication category. Awards were presented during NAHB's 2008 EOC Seminar in Providence, R.I.

TBA's Builder Services Division provides a weekly e-mail communication to its builder members known as the Monday Morning Briefing. This newsletter brings members up to date on regulation, code and policy changes affecting the building industry in TBA's jurisdiction and links them directly to policies, forms and other vital documents.

The briefing, which began in November 2002, has evolved from a one-page, one-line, item listing to full descriptions of actions and policies with links to complete information on a related association Web page or other Web sites. New items appear in bold blue and dates in are bold red so members can easily scan for new information. It's an exclusive communication for TBA builder members only.
