Virginia Beach Accela Permitting Software

The Virginia Beach Accela Permitting Software is scheduled to go-live on Monday, Oct. 10. The Integrated Voice Response (IVR) system will go down at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 6, and no inspections will be made after that time through the IVR. Everything will be down on Friday, Oct. 7; permits will be issued by hand and a written receipt will be given for cash. Any inspections needed for Monday, Oct 10 should be called in directly to the Permits & Inspections office at 757-385-4211, option 4. The City will take inspections up to 8 a.m. for same day inspections. The new system will be live on Monday, Oct. 10 at 8 a.m. with permit issuance and inspection scheduling capabilities. The City’s website at www.VBGOV.com will direct you to the new services and include instructions concerning online permitting, scheduling inspections, viewing results and access to new permit applications, etc. If you have any questions, please contact Robin Morse, Permit Services Coordinator at 757-385-4211, option 4.
