Explore a world of "Sensuous Gardens" at Mid-Atlantic Home & Flower Show

See, hear, touch, taste and smell everything for your indoor and outdoor living environments at the 2007 Mid-Atlantic Home & Flower Show, February 15-17 at The Virginia Beach Convention Center. For the second year in a row, the event brings together two of the area's largest consumer shows - The Mid-Atlantic Home & Garden Show and the Virginia Flower Show.

Produced by Tidewater Builders Association and The Virginia Horticultural Foundation, the event will feature nearly 500 exhibits of products and services to enhance your home and garden areas, plus lavish display gardens.

HGTV home decorators Matt & Shari of the popular show "Room by Room" will headline the show which features expert presenters on everything from bath and kitchen design to organic lawn care. Matt & Shari will demonstrate their own realistic approach to do-it-yourself projects for show visitors.

In keeping with its theme of "Sensuous Gardens" The Virginia Horticultural Foundation will offer a variety of gardening and landscape professionals to educate audiences on all facets of cultivating and maintaining outdoor environments. With topics from container gardening and incorporating color into landscapes to herbal gardening and practicing feng shui gardening principles, these experts will appeal to all of the senses.

Certified Master Bath and Kitchen Designer Jim Krengel will showcase the hottest trends in kitchen design and appliances for all types of homes.

2006 Horticultural Communicator of the Year Paul Tukey will share his knowledge on making the transition to healthy and eco-friendly organic lawn care.

Fun for the entire family can be found with the Extreme Canine Stunt Dog Show. Witness an exciting performance of these professional show dogs as they execute big-air stunts, entertaining tricks and comedy antics. Plus, a line-up of fun-filled activities for children is planned all weekend long.

The event is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday, Feb. 15, and Saturday, Feb. 16; and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 17.

Admission is $10 for adults and free for children 12 and under. Two-day passes are $17 each and three-day passes are $23. Active-duty military and senior citizens get a $1 discount. A $1 discount coupon is also available at www.tbaonline.org. Parking is free.
